Birthday Celebrations in Room 3

Everyone wants to be remembered and cherished on the special day that they were born. The Montessori Birthday Walk is a lovely way to celebrate a child's birthday in a school setting. Children love to hear about the journey from their birth to the present day. They want to hear stories, look at photos, and remember wonderful memories. They want to know how cherished they are, and how our life and world is better because they were born into their family or now belong to our class.  This year in Room 3, I will be asking each parent to send in a picture of their child as a baby. Each child will get the opportunity to share their picture and some of their favourite memories from previous birthdays.  We will then sing Happy Birthday as well as learn and use sign language to sign Happy Birthday. We will celebrate weekend birthday either on the Friday or the Monday as well as celebrate our July and August birthdays in June.    As we are still respecting health protocol...

Book Fair

  Our Book Fair has started. The link below is active.     We are pleased to be hosting a hybrid  ( In-School and Virtual)  Scholastic Book.     Each class will get an opportunity to visit the Book Fair on either Monday, November 21st or Tuesday, November 22 nd .      Attached is your child’s wish list. If you would like to purchase anything from your child’s wish list you can choose to do so using any of the three methods listed below.      Purchase Options:    ·            Cash   sent in with your child and initialed wish list    o       Initial next to the items you would like to purchase and send in exact cash    o       Please note, that in-school purchases already include GST   o       Cash orders need to be sent in by Thursday, November 24 th   ·   ...

Weekly Update - Jan 16 - 20

Mystery Tank The whole school has the opportunity to study organisms that will hatch over the next couple weeks. Students are excited to make predictions and see the process unfold.  We continued our work on our "seed" stories, this week students started to plan out their own stories. We are working on them one step at a time, it has been incredible to see what the students are coming up with.  Buddies!
