Weekly Update - April 24 - 28
Artist in Residence
We had our final session with Mrs. Sharon on Monday. Students worked on creating small images of the life cycle of a pea. These will be cut out and collaged together for our final picture of patterns in nature connected to plant life cycle.
We will share a picture of the final product when it is completed!
The Marker Mystery
We continued our learning in connection to the markers being recycled at LBS. Students categorized their benchmark numbers, using that data they created bar graphs.
Psyanky Eggs
We love this beautiful weather so we decided to do some outdoor learning. Students were asked to find a sit spot, they took time to be in nature to find and document nouns and connected verbs.
Gymnastics
We wrapped up our gymnastics unit this week, the last three days of the unit were Mission Impossible. Students worked through each station working around all the obstacles using controlled and calculated movements, learned during the course of the unit.
Poetry
We reintroduced poetry this week and will continue to work within the unit in the coming weeks. We took time to read and listen to a free verse poem, students completed step by step reflections as we repeatedly read the poem.
