Weekly Update - May 8 - 12

Plant Growth 

Don't get upset if your plant hasn't grown yet - W.D 

There are many different parts of a plant - L.B 

Some seeds grow faster than others - A.H 




 





Ann & Sandy Cross Field Trip 

We learned that you can find natural water sources, one can be morning dew - I.G 

We learned that the First Nations made their Tipi facing East, the mothers would sleep at the front and the children would sleep at the back - L.B 

Inside the tipi there was a woodpecker - B.Y 

We learned that the tipi had a hole in the roof so that the smoke of the fire could get out - G.W 

We learned that you had to wake up really early in the morning during the settler time - S.B 

We got to see eight deers - R.R 

The First Nations people are called nomadic because they followed their food and moved a lot - M.P & L.B 






Free Verse Poems 

We used success criteria to make our own poems - S.B 

We learned that Free Verse poems don't really have any rules - R.M
